  14.           The DEMO  version is  identical to  the production  version which
  15.           bears the  same version  number. However  it is  a demo  which is
  16.           provided so  that you  may evaluate  GAP to  see if it suits your
  17.           needs. As such, it is limited to 20 users in the User File.
  18.  
  19.           The DEMO  version is  released with  a  restrictive  License.  In
  20.           short, this license allows you to use the software for evaluation
  21.           purposes only. The evaluation period will last for no longer than
  22.           30 days.
  23.  
  24.           Because of  space limitations,  the Caller Analyzer and ISAM Pack
  25.           programs are  not included  in the  Demo Archives. These programs
  26.           are not necessary for proper evaluation.

  28.  
  29.           If you  prefer not  to print  out the disk based manual and would
  30.           rather have  the printed  manual to  help you in your evaluation,
  31.           send $10.00 + $5.00  Postage & Handling  ($15.00 Total,  check or
  32.           money order)  to  GAP Development Company  and  a manual  will be
  33.           rushed to  you. Should you decide to order the  software, you may
  34.           deduct  the  $10.00  from  the  total  price of  your order.  For
  35.           instance, if  you order  the single user version, the total price
  36.           for non California residents  is $94.00.  You may then deduct the
  37.           $10.00 already paid and your total price will be $84.00.

  40.           If you  wish to  register GAP  Communications, please  read  this
  41.           Application and License Agreement carefully.

  61.           This legal  document is  an agreement  between you, the end user,
  62.           and GAP  Development Company.   By using the software provided by
  63.           GAP Development  Company, you  agree to become bound by the terms
  64.           of this  agreement, which  includes the  software license and the
  65.           disclaimer of warranty.

  67.           This agreement constitutes the complete agreement between you and
  68.           GAP Development  Company.   If you  do not  agree to the terms of
  69.           this agreement,  promptly return  the disks  and other items that
  70.           are part of this product.

  72.           This  product   may  not   be  copied,   reproduced,   disclosed,
  73.           transferred, or  reduced to any form, including electronic medium
  74.           or machine readable form, or transmitted or publicly performed by
  75.           any  means,  electronic  or  otherwise,  unless  GAP  Development
  76.           Company consents in writing, in advance.

  78.           This software  contains valuable  trade secrets  and  proprietary
  79.           information  and   is  protected   by  federal   copyright  laws.
  80.           Unauthorized use  of the software can result in civil damages and
  81.           criminal prosecution.

  83.           You may  use the  software on  a single  computer only.   If  the
  84.           single computer  on which  you use  this software is a multi-user
  85.           system, this License covers all users on THAT single system.
  86.  
  87.           YOU MAY  NOT COPY  the software  programs, except  to  place  the
  88.           programs onto  your hard  disk and to make archival backup copies
  89.           onto floppy  disks for  your personal  use as  permitted by  this
  90.           License.  You may not grant sublicenses nor transfer the software
  91.           or related  materials in  any  form  to  any  person  unless  GAP
  92.           Development Company consents in writing, in advance.

  94.           This License  is effective  until terminated.  This License  will
  95.           terminate automatically  if you fail to comply with any provision
  96.           of this License.

  98.           SUMMARY OF LIMITED WARRANTY:

  100.           In summary,  the software  is licensed  AS  IS.    THERE  ARE  NO
  101.           WARRANTEES, EXPRESS  OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE
  102.           IMPLIED  WARRANTIES   OF  MERCHANTIBILITY   AND  FITNESS   FOR  A
  103.           PARTICULAR PURPOSE,  AND ALL  SUCH WARRANTIES  ARE EXPRESSLY  AND
  104.           SPECIFICALLY  DISCLAIMED.  IN  NO  EVENT  SHALL  GAP  DEVELOPMENT
  105.           COMPANY BE  RESPONSIBLE FOR  ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR
  106.           CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES  OR LOST PROFITS TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PERSON
  107.           OR ENTITY  REGARDLESS OF  THE LEGAL  THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN
  108.           ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

  110.           No dealer,  company or  person is  authorized to  expand or alter
  111.           either   these   warranties   or   this   agreement;   any   such
  112.           representation will not bind GAP Development Company.

  116.                        Product Support And Pricing Information

  119.           With the registration of  GAP Communications Version 6 and above,
  120.           you will receive,  for a period of one year, free updates  to the
  121.           program as well  as access to  the support board  operated by GAP
  122.           Development  Company. Updates may  be downloaded from the Support
  123.           Board or you  may arrange  for Disk Upgrade Service at a  nominal
  124.           charge.  In addition,  you will  receive direct  attention to any
  125.           problems, ideas, or wishes from one of the developers.

  127.           After the  first year,  it will be necessary to renew the product
  128.           support agreement.

  130.           GAP Communications comes in many versions to fulfill the needs of
  131.           the sysops.  The various versions are priced as follows:

  147.           The upgrade  fee is  the difference  in the  total price from one
  148.           version to  another.   If your support registration is active and
  149.           you wish  to upgrade  from one version to another, you may simply
  150.           subtract any monies you have paid from the total price of the new
  151.           version.

  154.           $5.00 for Postage & Handling.

  160.                under a Multi Tasking system such as Desqview).

  173.           Multi-tasking programs  are not  supported although  they may  be
  174.           used. GAP is fully DesqView aware.

  176.           The Multi  User versions  of GAP  are not  Multi Tasking, meaning
  177.           they require  either a  Network or some sort of Multi Tasker such
  178.           as Desqview. (Multi Taskers are not recommended).
  179.  
  180.           GAP was designed to be run on a dedicated computer.  As such, the
  181.           sysop should  keep his TSR programs down to a minimum (or not use
  182.           them at  all).  A good disk cache program is an exception to this
  183.           rule.

  191.           to GAP Development Company.

  195.           LICENSEES of  GAP Development  products MUST  be of  legal age of
  196.           their state of residence.  Signature below (of Sysop or qualified
  197.           purchaser) signifies  legal  status  and  hereby  authorizes  GAP
  198.           Development  Company   to  conduct  verification  through  credit
  199.           agencies of legal status.
